Summary
D2.3. Final project report on the status of WP2 – Part 1(MLNX,M34)This deliverable will be the technical report that communicates the final outcome of WP2 Tasks (Part 2). This includes the following sections and results:(1) Offloading apps and AI. Here the following artefacts will be delivered:● The data format of the offloading apps that considers the policies and underlying (smart)-NIC● The transformations of the chosen intrusion detection policies to a set of Edge Network Functions.● The formulation of an optimal NF placement mechanism● The prototype of an appropriate constraint satisfaction-solver● The implementation of the policy and requirement enforcer that is able to monitor and verify the execution behaviour and communication patterns between a set of network devices.(2) Support of secure 5G by an edge node (ISW)This deliverable section will focus on the following contributions:● Secure edge node design for low latency communication will be proposed● Fiber and wireless connectivity will be studied● Most demanding radio protocol stack suitable for micro-data center will be identified based on possible 3GPP split option● RRM mechanisms considering hierarchy of data centers (EMDC and central one) will be studied to support KPIs for benefit of 5G implementation(3) Crypto-acceleration for secure edge node communications (MLNX)A set of pluggable HW&SW that add security at low cost to the communication between the nodes in a network as well as between the network and external entities. An implementation of a crypto-acceleration approach that secures edge node communications with low-latency for AI-related communications will also be delivered.
